About The Mill
Situated in the idyllic village of Duddington, The Mill is a unique Grade II listed building located just 10 minutes from the town of Stamford and 20 minutes from Peterborough.
The Mill offers its own on-site car park, a staffed reception area, and rooms that are equipped for Massage, Beauty and Spa Treatments, Reiki, Counselling, Sport and Remedial Therapies, Antenatal Classes, Stay and Play Groups and much more.
The wellbeing centre has a wealth of history and is housed in a recently restored watermill, which was originally built in 1664 for a man named Thomas Soden. It was featured in a series of paintings titled ‘Recording Britain’’ and was painted by the artist S.R. Admin in 1940. After the war, the whole series was given to the Victoria and Albert Museum in London by the Pilgrim Trust. The pictures now form a memorial to the war effort, and are a unique record of their time.
With nine different rooms spread across two floors, The Mill offers an excellent environment for complementary wellbeing services. All spaces are fully equipped and finished to a high standard to ensure visitors experience luxury from the moment they arrive at the centre.
There are three single treatment rooms and one double treatment room with an en-suite, equipped with luxury treatment couches and custom-built units. We also offer three consulting rooms with soft lighting, beautiful decor and a sofa and armchair in each.
There is a workshop space ideal for painting workshops, art and dance therapy and pregnancy relaxation services. If you’re after a larger area then The Mill also offers a spacious and bright open studio, which is 495 sq ft with a high beamed ceiling. Equipped with a private shower and changing facilities, this space is perfect for yoga, dance or other exercise classes.
We have lots of exciting plans for 2022 onwards, including creating another studio space with a dedicated area equipped with everything you need to feed and change your baby in comfort, plus a further space offering full disabled access and facilities.
We really have tried to think of everything that you might require from a health and wellness centre, and are delighted to bring this historic building back into use for the benefit of the local community.
